MEET ED

Ed “Eddie” Walker is a life-long, multigenerational Montanan. His family has roots as natural resource entrepreneurs in Montana dating back to the late 1800’s. Ed’s Dad was a Butte boy and his Mom was an Anaconda girl. Growing up, Ed’s parents instilled the importance of family and stepping up for each other when needed. Ed has carried that sense of integrity with him throughout his life and in raising his 5 children.

Ed has always been an unwavering conservative and advocate for protecting the constitutional rights of all Montanans and empowering citizens to have their voices heard. Since being elected to the State Senate in 2010, Ed Walker proved himself as a conservative fighter by engaging with elected officials on First Amendment rights.

As State Senator, he proudly advocated for legislation that ensured the Montanans’ rights to freely assemble, speak, and petition their representatives. Additionally, Walker fought for, and was able to pass, legislation that required state agencies to run impact analysis studies on any new regulations imposed upon small businesses. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy- too often Government bureaucrats forget that.

Additionally, Walker serves as Montana’s State Chair for U.S. Term Limits. Walker wants to end the era of the career politicians who have spent us into $33 trillion in debt, and created the crisis on our southern border.

Ed has always been an advocate for what he knows is right. He is running for Congress because he wants to be the conservative fighter Montana deserves when it comes to tough issues like border security, responsible energy development, and out-of-control federal spending.

In his private life, Ed Walker has been a small business owner and worked in the energy industry. He lives in Billings and has been married to his wife Kathleen for 30 years. They have 5 grown children and 3 grandchildren.

secure the border

President Biden’s radical immigration policies have led to the worst border crisis in American history. Biden’s open borders agenda has encouraged record numbers of illegal border crossings and have allowed record amounts of illicit drugs, criminals and known suspected terrorists into our country. The border crisis continues to get worse, destroys our communities, and is a direct threat to our national security.

Even the northern border is in crisis! For the 2023 fiscal year, of the record-setting 659 known or suspected terrorists apprehended attempting to enter the U.S. illegally, 432 (66%) were captured at the northern border. Between 2021 and 2022, there was 596% increase in drugs seized at the northern border, including enough fentanyl to kill every Montanan almost three times over.

We must secure our borders, uphold the rule of law and reform our broken immigration system.

Reign in Government Spending

We must get our spiraling national debt under control. We must put an end to the reckless spending of the Biden Administration that is crushing the middle class with record inflation. We need a balanced budget amendment and prioritize lowering our $35 trillion national debt.

Prioritize American Energy and the Economy

Joe Biden’s energy policy has been a total failure.  He has continued to paralyze US energy production by shutting down pipelines and canceling oil and gas leases across America - including right here in Montana. Most of my career has been spent in the oil and gas industry. It is imperative we support our oil and gas economy to make sure we are energy independent. We do that by investing in our infrastructure, creating good paying jobs producing safe, clean and affordable American energy.

Conservative Values

I am an unapologetic Pro-Life, Pro-2nd Amendment, Constitutional Conservative Christian. I believe in low taxes, limited government, and individual freedom. I will be a reliable, conservative voice in Washington, DC and will spend every day fighting for Montana values.
